DOI: 10.15560/17.1.159

Authors: German Antonio Villanueva-Bonilla, Diego Galvão de Pádua, Jober Fernando Sobczak

Abstract: We record for the first time the species Pimpla croceiventris (Cresson, 1868), P. golbachi (Porter, 1970), and P. sumichrasti Cresson, 1874, belonging to the Pimplini tribe (Ichneumonidae, Pimplinae), in northeastern Brazil. These species have been recorded in the south and southeast of Brazil, except for P. croceiventris, which has also been recorded in the north of the country. Regarding the development of larvae and its physiological characteristics, Pimpla Fabricius, 1804 is one of the most well-studied genera within ichneumonids. These new distribution records will contribute to the understanding of physiological tolerances in different habitats as well as discoveries of new parasitoid-host interactions in new environments.

New records of aphid parasitoids (Hymenoptera) from Colombia https://checklist.pensoft.net/article/30831/ Check List 15(6): 1083-1091

DOI: 10.15560/15.6.1083

Authors: Laura Marcela Martínez-Chávez, Diana Nataly Duque-Gamboa, Nelson Toro-Perea

Abstract: Aphid parasitoids have been recorded in many countries around the globe, however records in Colombia are few. Here, five primary parasitoids species, Aphidius platensis Brèthes, 1913, Aphidius funebris Mackauer, 1961, Aphidius matricariae Haliday, 1834, Aphelinus varipes (Förster, 1841), Aphelinus paramali Zehavi & Rosen, 1989, and two hyperparasitoids species, Syrphophagus aphidivorus (Mayr, 1876) and Pachyneuron aphidis (Bouché, 1834) are newly recorded in Colombia. Two other primary parasitoids, Lysiphlebus testaceipes (Cresson, 1880) and Aphidius colemani Viereck, 1912 are newly recorded from the department of Valle del Cauca.

First record of Clistopyga melanoptera Castillo, Sääksjärvi & Bordera (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Pimplinae) in Brazil https://checklist.pensoft.net/article/19708/ Check List 13(3): 1-3

DOI: 10.15560/13.3.2106

Authors: Diego Pádua, Marcio Oliveira

Abstract: The parasitoid wasp Clistopyga melanoptera Castillo, Sääksjärvi & Bordera, 2016 was described recently and was known only from the type locality, Cusco, Peru. Here we provide a first record of this species for Brazil, at Manaus, 1700 km from the type locality. A distribution map, images and morphological variations are provided.
