AbstractMegaselia dilatimana Disney, 2006 and M. falloconsueta Disney, 2006 (Diptera, Phoridae), two species of scuttle flies previously only known from Afrotropical region, are reported for the first time from Peninsular Malaysia. These species were collected from July to September 2020 during surveys of saprophagous scuttle flies at selected locations in the states of Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, and Johor. The geographical distribution of these species is extended to the Oriental region and increases the number of species of Megaselia known from Peninsular Malaysia to 36.
