Abstract

We report the first record of the recently described species Odorrana nagao Pham, Hoang, Nguyen, Nguyen, Ngo, Le & Ziegler, 2026 from China based on one specimen collected from Malipo County, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The morphological characteristics of specimen from China corresponds to the original description of the species and the sequence of it has a negligible genetic distance of 0.4% in the 16S rRNA gene with those of the type specimens of this species. This occurrence record extends the known distribution of this species by approximately 80 km northward.
