Abstract
We present new records of the minute moss beetle Ochthebius (Enicocerus) colveranus Ferro, 1979, rediscovered after more than 90 years in Slovakia. Adults inhabit the growth of algae (Vaucheria sp. and Cladophora sp.) and moss on the spray zone of protruding rocks in streams. We recently discovered small populations in rivers Laborec, Ondava, Udava, Výrava and the stream Hermanovský Potok in north-eastern Slovakia. Ochthebius melanescens Dalla Torre, 1877 and O. metallescens Rosenbauer, 1847 shared the same microhabitat. We provide illustrations of the habitus, aedeagus, habitat, and a distribution map of northernmost localities.
